Every once in a while we come across a cosmetic we do not need but want anyway because we find something special about the product. The makeup appeals to us so strongly that we buy it. This was the case with an eyeliner pencil I found at E6 Apocathery on Newbury Street in Boston.
The cosmetic brand is called Delux Beauty and it is deluxe makeup! Though I have no idea why, the color is called Chimpy Blue. It is such an intense blue, reminiscent of the clearest blue sky on a bright summer day, that I just needed this eyeliner pencil to break out of the winter doldrums. This particular electric blue is almost day-glow in its brightness.
The next day I wore the eyeliner with a very pale nude shade of eye shadow and electric blue mascara and was met with rave reviews about my makeup. Certainly not a color for the faint of heart or the conservative set, or a color that we can wear every day, but oh, what fun it was to make my brown eyes blue!
Here is the best part: rarely have I seen eyeliner pencils with this kind of staying power. The pencil does not melt away into nothing on your eye lid or run down your face.
